United States coach Bruce Arena has chosen 16 MLS-based players for the friendly against Mexico in Denver, Colorado next week.
Arena saw a mix of European and US players lose 4-2 at Rostock to Germany on Wednesday and only Greg Vanney of Bastia and Bayer Leverkusen defender Frankie Hedjuk make the trek to Colorado for the friendly from Europe.
Four Chicago Fire players and three from Columbus Crew lead the choices from the MLS with MetroStars striker Clint Mathis likely to start.
