Argentina striker Hernan Crespo says he is ready to leave SS Lazio and wants to play in Spain after the World Cup finals.

The striker has interested Manchester United and Juventus as Lazio look to reduce their wage bill at the end of this season but the former Parma top scorer has been a long term target for Spanish champions Real Madrid.

He is one of the top three strikers named by Madrid manager Jorge Valdano that the Spanish Liga leaders are interested in signing for next season.

Crespo tells Barcelona newspaper 'Mundo Deportivo' that he intends to play in La Liga and also says he would consider a move to FC Barcelona.

"It's my ambition to go to Spain in the future."

"It's a very attractive idea for me. I've been told it is great in Spain, playing and living is very good. My future depends on myself and Lazio and after the World Cup I would consider changing clubs."

Lazio rate Crespo at around $40 million and he has spent two years at the Rome club. He is set to be sold in the summer to help the Rome club pay off debts and ease their wage bill as they look to restructure their squad.
