Swedish midfield star Fredrik Ljungberg has a hip injury and may miss the opening World Cup game against England in Saitama.
Ljungberg ended the season in great form for Arsenal; but withdrew from training yesterday with a hip problem which may the recurrence of a groin strain.
Team doctor Anders Valentin said: "Nothing is broken and we are continuing to treat the injury. There is no danger for him, as we see it. He had some sensation of pain again and that was when we decided to let him cut practice short."
"I had hoped to be able to train now, there are only five days left before the match. But hopefully it won't be a big thing," the player said.
Ljungberg is a certain starter for Sweden if fit but he may have to wait until Friday to find out if he is ready to play.
