Everton striker Joe Max Moore scored twice as the US hammered nine man Barbados 7-0.
The US are now second in Group E of CONCACAF qualification.
This was the biggest win ever for a US team and Eddie Pope opened the account in the 14th minute by following in a corner and Moore sent Brian McBride in on goal with a 28th minute flick for the second.
Moore converted a rebound from an Eddie Stewart shot for his first in the closing seconds of the opening session minute and by then Barbados were down to nine men.
Augustus Hurdle elbowed Cobi Jones in the face in the 38th minute and Eric Lavine slammed into Chris Arnas from behind to earn the red cards. Just moments into the restart substitute John O'Brien made it 4-0 with a low drive with Tab Ramos and Eddie Stewart claiming goals either side of the 73rd minute. Moore finished the scoring from close range in the 82nd .
