Denmark got its first victory in Group C beating Iceland in Rejkjavic in a winning start for their new coaching team.

The Icelandic side opened the scoring when goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel failed to hold Rikhardur Dadason's header and Eyjolfur Sverrison got the loose ball and only had to push it into the net.
