Giovanni Trappatoni's debut as Italy coach was both sweet and sour as he saw his side score two goals but fail to get victory in last night's World Cup qualifying match in Budapest.
Striker Filippo Inzaghi put his team ahead after dribbling past goalkeeper Gabor Kiraly in the 26th minute. However, the hosts reacted quickly and only three minutes later Ferenc Horvath levelled the score with a 10 metres shot. Once again Inzaghi scored with a header in what seemed to be an offside move, though the referee allowed the goal in the 35th minute.
But Hungary reacted well getting its reward in the 78th minute when Horvath scored the equalizer that drove the crowd mad.
