Slovenia came on strong in the second half to draw with Romania.

Marius Niculae scored from a low drive in the 14th minute but the second half belonged to the home team.

Milenko Acimovic finished from close range in the 55th minute only to see the visitors - missing coach Gheorghe Hagi who was having kidney surgery today - take the lead again when Viorel Moldovan was put clear to hit a low finish with the home defence out of position.

Zahovic launched a dipping free kick in the 75th minute to equalise for a second and final team.
