Copa America - Costa Rica 1 Uruguay 1

Costa Rica and Uruguay both qualified for the Copa America quarter finals with a 1-1 draw in Medellin.

Striker Paulo Wanchope wants to leave Manchester City and did his reputation some good in this match with several great pieces of skill.

He beat three defenders on a mazy run to shoot at goal in the 28th minute but his first effort was blcoked. Undeterred Wanchope followed up the chance and whipped in a shot to give Costa Rica the lead.

Uruguay equalised with a Carlos Morales header in the 53rd minute but Costa Rica domnated the game against the Uruguay reserve team.
