Peru reached the last eight of the Copa America with a 1-0 win over Mexico.

Mexico had already qualified and Peru went through as one of two best-placed teams in third.

Roberto Holsen scored a 48th minute winner from close range and just after an hour the game broke up for a fist fight which saw Mexico striker Jared Borgetti and Peru forward Dario Muchotrigo sent off
