2002 World Cup - Faroe Islands 0 Yugoslavia 6

Yugoslavia hammered the Faroe Islands 6-0 in Toftir with three goals from Juventus transfer target Mateja Kezman.

Yugoslavia midfielder Dejan Stankovic opened the scoring after 20 minutes when he headed past Faroese goalkeeper Jakup Mikkelsen from an inswinging corner by Sinesa Mihajlovic.

PSV Eindhoven striker Kezman was the top scorer in the Dutch league last season and hit his first in the 29th minute from close range.

The Yugoslavs produced stylish play with the win all but certain at half time with Stankovic scoring his second goal with a 55th cross shot and Savo Milsosevic steered in a cross for the fourth goal in the 68th minute.

Kezman hit two goals in the last three minutes when he met well placed crosses after the home defence had given up chasing back.
