Turkey came from a goal down to win this match in Skopje.

Midfielder Toni Micevski opened the scoring for Macedonia with a long range free kick which dipped in from twenty five metres in the 20th minute.

But Turkey kept calm and equalised with a 68th minute own goal by Igor Mitrevski. Umit Davala sealed the win a minute later from a pass by Hakan Sukur which he sent low into the net.

Slovakia's 3-1 win over Azerbaijan took them to the top of group four and they lead the Turks on goal difference with Sweden also on 11 points after a win over Moldova.
