Cameroon failed to get the point they needed to qualify for the 2002 World Cup finals and lost 2-0 in Angola.

Cameroon still lead the group A section by four points and play again at the start of July to try and seal their place in Japan and South Korea.

They host Togo who beat Zambia 3-2 at the weekend.

A 59th minute goal from Akwa - Angola's all-time top scorer - at close range and ten minutes later Quinzinho sealed the win with a well-timed cross shot.
