Real Madrid president says his target for next year is one major signing - Patrick Vieira or Andriy Shevchenko.
AC Milan said last week that Madrid had made three massive offers - around £50 million - for the Ukraine star who has been their top scorer in the two seasons he has played form them since a £15 million move from Kyiv Dynamo in 1999.
But Madrid president Perez claims to have no interest in Lazio centre back Alessandro Nesta now.
"Real will not sign Alessandro Nesta" he said in a denial of a deal long-rumoured to be complete in Italy.
"We have been offered Nesta five times, but we turned down every single offer" Perez said.
Arsenal captain Patrick Vieira has linked his future to Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid.
Madrid want a midfield protector for their record signing and the Frenchman said last month that the Spanish champions had made contact with him over the summer about a move to join French World Cup team mate Zidane.
Now Vieira has told Spanish daily 'Marca':
"Zidane is an extraordinary player, the best in the world. I would like to play in the same team as Zidane. For the moment though, I don't think so."
Vieira says no deal is possible yet and paid tribute to his Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.
"He brought me from Milan. He has turned around my confidence and I have progressed a lot with him. He saw in me the footballer that I am today."
But Wenger has yet to sign a contract at Arsenal to take him beyond next summer and the French coach is a target for clubs and the French and Japanese associations. His departure from Arsenal would see Vieira's future in doubt at the London club again but the Arsenal board insist Wenger will sign anew contract with them soon.
