Russia stay in command of group one with a 3-0 win over the Faroe Islands.

Two goals from Vladimir Beschastnykh in the second half set up the win and his first came from a 19th minute header from a corner and he was put through on goal by Marat Izmailov on the half hour mark to drive low past Faroe goalkeeper Jakub Mikkelsen.

Alexander Shirko sealed the win two minutes from time when he scored on the break.
