Japan and Yokohama Marinos goalkeeper Yoshikatsu Kawaguchi is to join English club Portsmouth.
The 26 year old will move to the south coast club on October 20th after the end of the Japanese season.
The first choice Japanese international is the third player from the J-League to move to England after Arsenal midfielder Junichi Inamoto and Bolton striker Akinori Nishizawa and he has a two and a half year contract.
Kawaguchi will play in England next week - ironically at Portsmouth's arch rivals Southampton - when he arrives with the Japan squad to face Nigeria in a friendly on October 7th.
