Holders Cameroon will defend their African Nations Cup title in Sunday's final after knocking out hosts Mali 3-0.
Two goals from midfielder Salomon Olembe at the end of the first half put Cameroon into total command with Marc-Vivien Foe sealing the win in the 83rd minute.
Cameroon will now try to be the first side since 1967 to win back-to-back titles but their assistant coach Thomas Nkono came close to missing the semi final.
He was arrested more than anhour before the game by a squad of riot police who handcuffed him to prevent any 'lucky charms' being dropped on the pitch.
Pius Ndiefi cut the ball back for a sidefooted finish from Olemembe in the 39th minute and he was put clear by Ndiefi for his second in the dying seconds of the first half.
Samuel Eto'o hit a volley off the bar in the second half as did Lauren before a drive from Foe emphasised the dominance of the champions.
