Former Italy and Milan coach Cesare Maldini's first game in charge of World Cup hopefuls Paraguay ended in a draw against Bolivia.

But they needed a goal in the last seconds of the game to clinch an equaliser from a shot by Struway despite taking the lead in the second minute when Jose Cardozo hit the target from close range.

Paraguay trailed for the almost the entire second half after Bolivia took charge of the game with Percy Colques and then a 47th minute goal from Augusto Andaveriz on the break giving the visitors the lead.
