Saudi Arabia recovered from a poor first half to run out 3-1 winners over Bahrain in the Gulf Cup.
Two goals on the break in the 14th and 32nd minute from striker Hassan Al-Yami went against the run of play and gave Saudi a comfortable lead.
Bahrain were in total control until Italian referee Cosimo Bolognino showed a red card to midfielder Ibrahim Al-Mashkhas in the 45th minute after a second bookable offense for a heavy tackle.
Bahrain pulled a 67th minute goal back in when substitute Rashed Jamal hit a low drive past Al-Deayyea when he took forward a through pass from winger Mohamed Salmeen in his stride.
Saudi captain Sami Al-Jaber added a third goal with a long range swerving drive in the 90th minute.
