Two goals from Paulo Wanchope gave Costa Rica a 3-1 win over South Korea to reach the Gold Cup final on Sunday.
They now meet hosts the US with the form of Wanchope and home striker Brian McBride possibly deciding the title as both hitmen now have four goals each for the tournament.
The central American side went ahead when Ronald Gomez scored from close range in the 44th minute with Wanchope extending the lead in the 77th minute when he cut inside from the left wing, beat defender Choi Jin-Cheul and hit an angled drive through the hands of goalkeeper Kim Byung-Ji.
Choi scored in the 81st minute but Wanchope claimed his second two minutes later when he led a break upfield to produce a low finish.
