Two goals each from Landon Donovan and Clint Mathis saw the United States hammer Honduras 4-0 in Seattle.
Mathis was playing his first game after an eleven-month absence through a serious knee injury and he opened the scoring in the 14th minute with a low drive and also hit the post with a 24th minute free kick.
Donovan was set up by midfielder Chris Armas after a good run and his cross was clipped in by the 19 year old star who has already been approached to join Perugia next season in Italy.
Mathis scored his second in the 59th minute after Brian McBride passed an Eddie Lewis cross to him for a drive under goalkeeper Victor Coello.
Donovan ended the scoring from close range in the 67th minute.
The US meet Ecuador in Birmingham, Alabama on March 10th in their next game.
