The Republic of Ireland impressively dominated Denmark to win in Dublin.
The hosts started very quickly and put Denmark under pressure from the off.
Leeds defender Ian Harte finished from close range in the 23rd minute to cap a great spell from the Irish which saw Danish goalkeeper Tomas Sorensen forced to save well from Harte and was tested twice by Clinton Morrison.
The Danes were pressed back for the whole of the first half until Denis Rommedahl hit a shot on the run at goalkeeper Dean Kiley but Robbie Keane extended Ireland's lead in the second half with a rising drive from distance on the hour mark.
Clinton Morrison was rewarded in the 92nd minute for his hard work with a snap shot in front of goal.
