Holland had little trouble sending Spain to a rare defeat but it is Jose Camacho's team who are booked up for World Cup action this summer.

The Dutch won the Rotterdam friendly with a busy minute after half an hour but the Spanish side did not get a shot on target as Holland threatended throughout.

Roy Maakay raided down the right wing in the 30th minute to great purpose and fired a low cross for Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink to volley at goal but Jose Canizares parried the hard shot to concede a corner kick.

From than an unmarked Frank De Boer headed into the net from the centre of goal after the visiting defence lost his run entirely.
