Ecuador helped their World Cup preparations with a 3-0 victory over Bulgaria in East Rutherford.
Two goals from striker Ivan Kaviedes and a third by Carlos Tenorio won the game easily for the South American side who will be participating in a World Cup finals for the first time and they started well in New Jersey.
Early pressure failed to produce shots on target but Kaviedes scored the fist goal in the 23rd minute when he ran onto a through pass from midfielder Edison Mendez for a low finish off the post and underneath goalkeeper Zoravko Zdravkov.
Tenorio headed the second goal from close range over susbstitute goalkeeper Dimitar Ivankov from a chance created by Kaviedes.
Cleber Chala hit a low drive to round out the scoring in the 81st minute.
Ecuador are still in talks to find a venue to play South Africa on April 17th in their next friendly fixture.
