Paraguay won their first game under coach Cesare Maldini at the Raasunda Stadium as the South American side tore up the form book.

Sweden were as poor in this game as Paraguay were in a heavy defeat in England last month with the English providing Sweden's first opponents at the World Cup finals on June 2nd.

Shots on the run from striker Roque Santa Cruz and midfielder Carlos Humberto Paredes cancelled out Andreas Andersson's effort from a low drive.
