China 0 PSV Eindhoven 1

China lost a 1-0 friendly in Shanhai to Dutch side PSV Eindhoven in a poor performance ahead of their debut next month at a World Cup finals.

The PSV players only put minimal effort into this low-key friendly and they were almost in arrears within seconds of the start when young striker Qu Bo was put clear to steady himself and lift the ball over goalkeeper Patrick Lodewijks but onto the cross bar.

PSV made the most of their escape when John De Jong hit a shot on the run which was saved by goalkeeper Jiang Jin only for Adil Ramzi to poke in the loose ball.

De Jong hit the bar from distance in the 32nd minute and poor Chinese finishing allowed the half-interested Dutch team led by an impressive Marc Van Bommel to keep their lead.
