Senegal coach Bruno Metsu says their World Cup win in the opening game against France in Seoul today is "a dream".
Frenchman Metsu saw his side hold off the champions and win 1-0 with a goal from Pape Diop and the coach was thrilled as his side took a giant step towards the second stage.
"We had dreamed about this match, thought it out and make it come it true," said Metsu.
"It's a great reward for the country and for the players. We worked really hard and we're happy to have pulled off this unbelievable coup.
"We've taken a big step forward. But there are two big mountains to climb," said the coach. "We're going to think about recovering because we've got to keep up this level of play against Denmark and Uruguay.
"This result will be no use if the results don't follow. The players must know now they have a chance of reaching the next round. Now they've got to confirm that.
"As coach, this gives me great pleasure. In football you don't always get luck and I don't think I'm a better coach today than I was yesterday. I dedicate this win to all the coaches who are having a tough time."
Senegal's capital Dakar has seen fans celebrate in the city streets after a famous win and unlikely World Cup upset on their debut although in truth Metsu's team are quite highly rated by some critics and showed they have more to offer these finals after their display against a tired France who lacked the imagination of injured play maker Zinedine Zidane
