France coach Roger Lemerre knows his side face a tough fight to stay in the World Cup finals after losing their opening game against Senegal in Seoul today.
Lemerre praised the African team who deserved their win but the French side were clearly tired and badly missed injured play maker Zinedine Zidane who may not have recovered from a thigh injury by the time Lemerre's side face another difficult assignment against Uruguay.
"There was nothing miraculous about Senegal's win," said Lemerre.
"They were well organised at the back and we couldn't break them down. "They had a counter-attack and they scored. That's what can happen in these games.
"But it's not all over for us. There are two matches to go and we can go though with six points. But we still have it all to do."
