like some teams had awesome players but the rest of the team sucked so they couldn't progress take portugal for example - usually an awesome team, they were lame this world cup but WHAT ABOUT PAULETA AND RUI COSTA!!!! pauleta scored a damn hat-trick! the only pure hat trick of the tournament (3 in a row without any goals in between from others) rui costa came on in that match and did lots of awesome playmaking - setting up 2 goals and scoring 1 after he came on in like the 75 minute they are both very famous players so i don't see why they aren't on the list just cause lots of the rest of the team played like crap i bet if they made it to the 2nd round and pauleta and rui costa played that same way again then they woulda been in the list and wat's teh deal with that korean striker? anh? he sucks!!!! how the hell did he make the list? in the italy match it was the korean guy who crossed the ball to him who did all the work. it's very hard to actually see than anh guy actually make contact with the ball. it basically skimmed his head on the way into the goal. HE SUCKS!!!!
this list sucks. it implies those players are the best in the world. trezegeut is 50 times better than any striker on that list. figo is 100 times better than any midfielder on that list. cannavaro and nesta are infinitely better than any defender on that list. kahn.....yeh that guy's a legend. and that korean goalie DESERVES his place - i respect his fine plays
that list was basically: 1. insert all famous/popular players from the quarter finals into a list 2. select 33 at random
