As I said you are entitled to like whoever you choose, even if its someone like Verdenik. For me, any coach who would enter the last game of the season against Oita, needing a win and knowing that a draw was of no use, and STILL play like he was looking for a scoreless result is not worthy of any benefit of the doubt. Verdenik had his players playing the same old deny defence that he always plays, and Vegalta didnt even BEGIN pushing forward until they were a goal down. Unlike you, I DO root for Vegalta, and was sick to see them relegated. But I dont blame the players when the manager is so well known for that sort of tactics. Incidentally, you seem to have been following the league for quite a while. If you have that much experience, surely you cant give any credence to what Sports Hochi or the other mainstream tabloids say. Since when did any of the beat reporters know anything about the sport? Every one of them was raised on baseball, and only ended up assigned to the football beat because they werent as competent as the other reporters on staff. As Ive said several times, youre entitled to your opinion, and Im sure there are others who may like Verdenik as well. However, from what Ive read, Masujima, Shuichi Tamura and Sergio Echigo all share my distaste for Verdenik and his boring tactics. Thats more than enough to convince me that Im in good company
