Ariel Ortega in the Argentina-Paraguay Match

Ariel Ortega, one of football's most over-rated players tries unsuccessfully to get back a cheap goal by leading his teamates into a diving frenzy minutes after going down 1-0 to Paraguay on a goal by Roberto Acuna, early in the second half. By repeatedly throwing himself on the ground with absolutely NO CONTACT by anyone but the ground, Ortega took it upon himself to lead by example to his teamates including the eventual goal; tying scorer, Pablo Aimar, who himself followed
Ortega's unsportsmanlike conduct in throwing himself to the ground and appealing to the referee for a undeserving penalty at home in Buenos Aires.

If this continues in Argentina's quest for a World Cup final, which I personally know it will, FIFA and the referees will take notice to this and hand down the proper penalties and yellow cards eventually leading
to red card expulsions if caught doing this more than once after a previous yellow.

The problem here is what Ortega is showing his young teamates and talented young Argentinan hopefuls in leading by example...... to FOOL the referees into making a call in the box especially when trailing in a
match. This, on the heels of an embarassing, dreadful, unforgettable LOSS to Holland in France'98 after Ortega himself ove in the box and appealed for a penaly in a tied game while the unfooled referee (followed by another cowardly act by Van Der Sar) handed him a yellow followed by a red card for supposedly headbutting the Dutch keeper who himself copied Ortega's stupid antics and collapsed to the ground. In
fairness, BOTH player should've been thrown out of the tournament and suspended ten matches each by FIFA as a clear example to others, especially Argentinian, Yugoslav and other players who are known for doing this sort of ladylike (which Women's soccer don't even do
themselves as proof of courage for their leagues and an absolute embarassment for men's soccer) antics.

When will these unsportsmanlike players ever learn? Never or ever? If they don't or refuse to back down and play proper, fair football, they should be banned for life!

Any comments on this?
