Nor surprisingly, the local press is billing this match as "Chila vs Pixy"
Stojkovic said on a local TV station "I want to repay all the Japanese fans, so I plan to score a goal". Interviewed shortly afterwards, Chilavert said "I will make sure that nobody scores against us!"

. . . .OK, OK, both players probably realise that they are being used to generate cheap publicity, but it should add at least a little bit of excitement to the match. Both teams are B sides,though the Paraguay team has quite a few of its regular starters, and regardless of the lack of stars, Jugo should be a tough team. I imagine there are a few people on this board with a passing interest as well.

Incidentally, Maggie, Chila's first comment upon stepping off the plane was "I hope to be visiting here a lot in the future". There have been a number of rumours linking him to J.League teams -- specifically, Cerezo Osaka, Tokyo FC and Tokyo Verdy. Ill let you know if any of the rumours pan out.

I will try to post a full report tonight (I plan to attend the match at Tokyo National Stadium: kickoff at 7PM)
