The crowd at Tokyo national stadium was surprisingly large. I thought that it would be very empty but actually most of the lower section was filled up, and only the seats way up from the field had a large area of on\pen space. I sat on the Paraguay side of the field mainly becaues there were more Yugoslavia fans, and there was more space to find good seats at the Paraguay end.

Both teams were a bit disappointing. I expected Paraguay to be defensive (and they were) but I didnt expect Yugo team to be so, too. Pixy started the match but only played about 20 minutes before being substituted. He didnt have a very good match. In fact, the only players that really did have good performances were Chilavert, Perreira and Gavillar -- and the two strikers missed so many easy shots that I dont think you can call it a "good" performance. Considering the number of shots one-on-one where they ended up shooting the ball right at the keeper, the score could have been 4-0 or 5-0.

Anyway, Japan will play Paraguay on Sunday, and if they win that match, then they should have no problem with Jugo. I was really disappointed by their low standard of play.
